Iceland 27th June 12 nights onboard the Marco Polo

Day 1: London Tilbury Marco Polo departs at 18:00.
Day 2: Wildlife watching at sea.
Day 3: Kirkwall Orkney Islands - explore and discover
Mull head also known as ‘sea bird city’ and a search for
whales and dolphins in the Stronsay Firth.
Day 4: Wildlife watching at sea.
Day 5: Boat trip around Heimaey, the birdlife we shall
see on this tour is magnificent as the Westman islands
have one of the largest varieties of seabird species in I
celand as well as the chance to view a number of cetaceans
that are sighted in this area including Orca. In the early
evening we will circumnavigate around the volcanic island
of Surtsey which emerged spectacularly following a series of
volcanic eruptions.The island is now a nature reserve.
Day 6: Reykjavik - the worlds most northerly city.

Day 7: Grundafjordur—One of Iceland's oldest fishing villages
set in a fine natural harbour on the Snaefellsnes peninsula.

Day 8: Akureyri - Our tour starts by visiting Godafoss
‘the waterfall of the gods’ a raging but majestic waterfall before
heading to Husavik which has become over the last six  years the
‘whale watching capital of Europe’ You will visit the whale centre
a non profit information centre about the habitat of the whales
around Iceland.  After lunch you will be taken for a 2 hour whale
watching trip with opportunities to view the cetaceans in and
around the Skajalfani Bay including   possible sightings of
Humpback whales.
Day 9: Wildlife watching at sea.
Day 10: Torshavn, today you may leave the ship and join an
optional excursion or stay with the ship for more information on
the cetaceans and seabirds you have seen and are likely to see
over the final days of this trip.
Day 11: Lerwick - discover the Shetland isles on a small boat that
will take you to one of the most amazing sea colonies, the Noss
nature reserve.  On the way we may come into contact with seals,
whales, dolphins and porpoises as they are often seen in this area.
Day 12: Wildlife watching at sea.
Day 13: Arrival back at London Tilbury at 07:30.
